Minimalism: January Wrap Up and February Goals

January Wrap Up

Focus Area: Office/Guest Room/Craft Room

I wasn't able to go through any office stuff, but did go through all of my craft supplies.  I have several grocery bags of craft items that I am getting rid of.  Hooray for me!

I reorganized the room.
I know that this might not look like much to you, but believe me...this is a HUGE improvement.

Habit Former:  Buy Less.

I certainly wasn't perfect, but I did work hard to keep better lists and thought more carefully about purchasing items not on them.  I need a better way to keep track of my lists.  I don't have a smartphone, but need a way to have my list from the kitchen be in my purse at the same time.  I haven't quite figured this out, yet.

Also, shop free week was a success and I actually enjoyed it!

February Goals

Focus Area: Baby's Room

Baby is having a birthday this month, which means presents.  So, I need to go through his things, store anything he isn't using anymore and organize his room.

Habit Former: Be more intentional about Baby's play time and what I buy him.

I tend to see things that look awesome, and if Baby seems to like them (or I envision that he would), I buy them, whether it would enrich his playtime, wardrobe, or life...or not.  I need to remember that he really doesn't need that much, and that I shouldn't just buy every great looking baby thing out there....cause there are a lot of great looking baby things.

    1. Yes...with the whole house, and also other thing in my life in general. It won't be perfect (as you can see by my office), but it will be a step in the right direction!
